Move your tax home to Malta. Keep it simple.
Residency, personal tax and your company, handled by one Malta firm.
The UK non-dom regime is gone. Malta’s is not.
Since April 2025 the UK taxes long-term residents on their worldwide income. Malta still taxes foreign income only if you bring it into the country. Foreign capital gains are not taxed even if you bring them in.
Two residency programmes give that treatment: the Residence Programme for EU citizens and the Global Residence Programme for others. Both have a minimum tax of EUR 15,000 a year and a property condition. We set the residency up, register you with the tax office, and file the yearly return.
A flat 15% on what you bring in
Under both programmes, foreign income remitted to Malta is taxed at 15%. Malta income is taxed at 35%. There is no wealth tax, no inheritance tax and no gift tax.
The planning is in what you remit, when, and from where. That is the part we do with you before you move, not after.
Your company can come too
A company registered abroad can continue in Malta without being wound up. Or a fresh Maltese company can take over the business. Either way, Malta’s refund system brings the effective corporate rate down to about 5% for trading profits, and a Fiscal Unit lets a group pay that once rather than pay 35% and wait for a refund.
We handle the set-up, the structure and the move. One firm, one file.
Who we are
Zenco Partners is a Malta tax advisory partnership. Two partners, Kurt Micallef and Matthew Ellul, both working on every file. We advise yacht owners, business owners and the advisers who serve them.
Tell us where you are now, and where you want to be.
A first conversation costs nothing. We will tell you plainly whether Malta fits, what it takes, and what it costs.
